Upbit Exchange Announces New Altcoin Listing, Price Soars Immediately

Upbit Exchange has announced the listing of Stargate Finance (STG) on its platform, and following the announcement, the altcoin surged by more than 70%.

South Korea's largest exchange started the day with news regarding the new altcoin. Upbit confirmed that it would be listing Stargate Finance (STG) on its platform.

In a post on the social media platform X, the exchange stated:

"On May 30, 2024, STG will be added to the KRW market on Upbit.

The listing of STG is scheduled for May 30 at 16:45, with a KRW trading pair on the Ethereum network.

Please ensure you check the network before sending digital assets. Deposits and withdrawals through networks other than the specified ones will not be supported."

Notably, following the listing announcement, the price of STG surged by over 70%, reaching a high of $0.8711 about an hour ago, before slightly dropping to $0.8428 at the time of writing.

Stargate Finance is a cross-chain bridge solution built on LayerZero, designed to facilitate seamless and straightforward token transactions across different blockchains. DeFi users can exchange native assets on Stargate in a single transaction.
